It's just not cricket...it's so much more!

Total Construction has proudly supported the Northern District Cricket Club (NDCC) for some time but it’s not something we’ve sung about - and THAT’S JUST NOT CRICKET!

Since the club first formed in 1925, their home ground has been Mark Taylor Oval (formerly Waitara Oval, which Total helped redevelop in 2012). NDCC has a long history of providing a supportive development pathway for junior players, including:

  • helping country players to transition to the city
  • funding a coaching program for children with disabilities
  • improving facilities at Mark Taylor Oval, and
  • running junior coaching clinics.

And their dedication to the sport has certainly paid off in spades, with:

  • Two Test players, Nathan Lyon and Brad Haddin
  • Two State players, Daniel Hughes and Harry Conway
  • BBL players, Chris Green and Andrew Harriott
  • Two players in the NSW Under 19s, Baxter Holt and George Furrer, and
  • One player in the Australian U/17s, Joel Foster.

It’s an amazing result for just one club! You can read more about NDCC here, and even more about Total’s affiliations here.
